Also known as probiotic, this food expresses how closely food and health are related. These products are usually prepared from fermented milk (like YOGHURT) by lactic microorganisms that play a buffer function as protectors of the metabolic and digestive system, stimulating the growth of beneficial bacteria for the intestinal flora and inhibiting other pathogens.

Since this has a high content in medium chain fatty acids, it is quickly metabolised producing instant energy.

The proteins and fat in goat milk are easier to digest than cow milk since the fatty cells are smaller.

Goat milk contains 15% more calcium than cow milk.
     
Agave

This is obtained from the molasses found in the agave plant.

This juice or syrup contains fructooligosaccharides (FOS), a type of carbohydrate not digestible by our organism with a high sweetener property, highly recommended in low sugar diets and for weight control in diabetic and overweight persons, ideal for hypoglucemics. It is beneficial for both kinds of people because it tends to regulate the levels of insulin.

FOS also has a prebiotic action on the bacteria of the colon, a balanced intestinal flora is the basis of a good assimilation of food and consequently of good health.
